Shopify currency conversion
If you are looking to sell your products in local currency so that your customers can shop online effortlessly, we have the solution for you. Your customers will not be charged extra fees for currency conversion on their credit card statements.
Disconnect has the feature, it gives you an option to convert your currency while syncing your products from Discogs to your Shopify store.
You can use this feature only if you have two different currencies set up on your Discogs and Shopify store.
Manual conversion Type :
We have given the manual conversion option, here you need to enter your currency conversion rate. The value you enter here will be multiplied by the price of the product and will be created on your Shopify account.
For example:-
Discogs actual price = 30
Currency conversion rate = 75
In shopify it will be = 30×75 = 2250 (it is the currency value)
(Note : Please do not change the current rate value frequently to avoid any issues in the future)
Disconnect Delete Feature
If you are looking to delete or remove the products from Discogs and other connected platforms either individual or in bulk. Disconnect has got this covered, please go through the different ways mentioned below:
1. Deleting products/making out of stock from all the connected channels:-
You can delete or make a product out of stock from all the connected channels from the Disconnect product details page.
Login Disconnect> product> click on product’s ID> navigate to product’s detail page> edit product’s quantity to 0> save it.
2. Deleting listings/product directly from Discogs :-
You can directly delete the product/listings from Discogs to remove the same product from all the connected channels easily without any manual efforts.
Points to be noted:-
- You can only delete those products which are listed with status as “for sale”. Products with draft status cannot be deleted at all.
- Deleting feature will only work if the “source” of the product is Discogs”
- We will start the product deletion process after getting the inventory exports from Discogs and the deletion process starts after 6 hours.
- Deletion frequency will be 500 products in 30 minutes
3. Deleting/updating product’s quantity using CSV import file:-
You can upload a CSV file on the Disconnect product details page, it will allow 200 products to move draft status at once from all the connected channels. You can edit the quantity to 0 to the listing Id for deleting the products and if you want to update the product’s quantity to 1,2, 3, 4, 5 etc. you can do it by adding it to the listing Id.
Download CSV file sample from product page of disconnect and add the listing Id and quantity of the product as per the sample file format and then upload the CSV file.

Discogs export stuck
If your Discogs inventory export gets stuck, you will receive an email from Disconnect to contact the Discogs support to resolve this issue.
Till the discogs export issue gets resolved you can use manual export in Disconnect (Discogs channel setting) by uploading the CSV file manually.

Note : Comments, price, inventory updates will not work until your Discogs inventory export work fine.
Tags and Comments (Shopify to Discogs sync)
1. Tags : Adding different value in sleeve and media condition of items that will be created on Discogs from Shopify –
You have to add a unique tag in your shopify account so that our portal does not get confused with the values.
For example:-
Suppose the sleeve condition is poor and media condition is good plus, so one has to add a tag in shopify as “sleeve_poor” (for sleeve condition). And add a tag in shopify as “media_good plus”.
Note : Please keep your shopify mapping updated in Disconnect and then add tags as mentioned above, in shopify.
2. Discogs Comments : Setting comments to be placed on Discogs Listings when imported from Shopify
One can use the shortcode – [notes=comments] in shopify product tags to store Discogs comments for the respective product.
For example – [notes=record is excellent ]
If over the one added in Discogs channel setting of Disconnect.
If [notes=record is excellent ] is added in the Shopify tags for a particular product it will sync to Discogs and if it is not added then default comments added in Discogs channel setting of Disconnect will applied.

Points to be noted:-
- Make sure when adding this shortcode, there should be space between words of your unique comments, for example – It is very good
Don’t use commas between the words as it will break them into 2 or more tags as per no. of commas used, always give space between words without commas. - There is no shortcode character limit for comments from our end, but there is a limit for tag length in Shopify.
- You can add tags while listing a product in shopify but if you want to update the tags later it will not update as the product already got synced to Discogs.
